Roberta Pollard

Roberta Pollard has been a household name in Stamford for over sixty years, sharing her love of dance with countless children and adults. Roberta began dancing at the age of ten, studying ballet and later, attended the School of American Ballet.   Roberta knew her dream was to teach dance, so she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education.   In 1963, Roberta’s dream was realized with the opening of the Roberta Pollard Dance Studio. For decades, hundreds, if not thousands of students took part in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, gymnastics, and Irish dance classes.

Though the studio doors closed for a few years due to the pandemic, Roberta is excited to join her daughter Collette on this new venture of Mind, Body, and Spirit at the Pollard Studio. At 85 years old, Roberta is proud to say that she still has it and will be teaching classes for adults who want to stay fit through dance.

Collette Pollard

From a young age, Collette had always had a strong connection to things beyond what is seen.  Several years ago Collette had a life changing experience  which was her spiritual awakening .  From that moment forward, Collette knew her life had changed and she was now on a spiritual path. Her first mentor was Brittany Luna from “Get Your Shift Together” and co-director of the Yale COPE Project, with whom she studied psychic development. From there, she joined a local mediumship development circle. Collette is currently studying with Lesley Manning, psychic medium and teacher,  as well as her mentor and friend, Jo Bradley, a well known Trance and physical medium, author and tutor in all things spiritual.

Growing up in her mother’s dance studio, Collette spent many years teaching dance to people of all ages and abilities . Now she is combining her love of the arts, teaching and spirit by pursuing her life purpose -opening the Center for Body, Mind, and Spirit at the Pollard Studio
